The Winnipeg River meaning Muddy Waters, is actually one of the clearest rivers around, with fresh waters from the mountains.

Eden ran through the grass, hopping while she laughed. She had nearly ran all the way to this..river looking place.  Weaving around a bush, Eden giggled. It was so pretty! Flicking an ear, she looked behind her for her pack mates. They have to see this place! It's so wonderful!

Raven watched nervously as Eden ran around in front of them. Something inside him wanted to tell Eden to stop playing around and be more careful, but he knew it was just his insecure mind speaking to him. Stretching his legs, Raven figured he should lighten up, and not be so nervous. 'If I stay like this while raising them I'll get a heart attack. . .'
He ran forward and went to the edge of the river. It was crystal clear and smelled of the dirt in the mountains, just like the last time he visited when he was still just a loner. "Eden, come here and look at the water!" Raven called.

Ashoka smiled and wagged her tail as she watched the pup run around. As she took in the surroundings, it was quite beautiful. The fae inhaled deeply, walked over to the river and looked at her reflection. She took a drink of the clear water, then layed down, dipping her front paws in the water. She kept her ears erect and scanned the area for any possible threats. None were visible, so Ashoka watched Raven and Eden. She was still a little afraid of the male, as was she of most of the other pack members. Being a loner for so long and her past experience with other wolves have made her learn to keep her distance.

Raven lifted his head as he suddenly heard a howl coming from close by. He assumed that Yukan and that one other female who he did not yet know have finished their hunting expedition. The melody of the howl translated into a summoning, to bring clan members to their kill. 'It must be too big to bring back. . .' Raven realized.
He glanced over to Ashoka, who seemed to be keeping her distance from him. Was he really that scary? Surely he didn't look it, at least not in a muscular fighting type of way, with his protruding bones and ragged short fur. He should really start taking better care of himself. . .
Raven himself did not know what to say to the female. Should he motion her over. . . ? Say nothing at all. . .? He as well was too shy to say anything.

The fae saw Raven glance at her and quickly looked away, blushing at her silliness of staring. She twitched her ears at the howl and looked to the source. Ashoka wasn't exactly sure what to do, seeing that she was new and all, and didn't know if she should be so quick to eat. 'I shall wait my turn. It would be rude to eat before the others.' Her stomach growled, and she pressed her body more tightly to the ground, hoping that Raven had not heard. Ashoka rapped her tail around her body and flattened her ears, determined to keep her hunger at bay.

Eden, being to curious and hyper, ignored Raven's words and took off the opposite direction, following the river as she ran along the shore line, dodging logs and nasty looking bushes. Oh, how exciting!
Laughing, she opened her maw a tad bit, letting her pink tongue slip out and and feeling the air as she ran.
I love running. Just..running! "Weee!" She giggled/screamed, forcing her small legs to take her faster. She wanted to fly. Feel the wind in her fur as she soared. She paws were barely touching the ground as she zoomed beside the river.

Acke walked to the edge of the water cautiously. He was aware of the two adult wolves near the water of the opposite bank, so he stayed near the reeds of his own side, keeping his body low. His paws made no sounds as they drifted over the bristly grass. He had never wondered what pack life could be like. Before a few days ago, he wouldn't have even cared. But something had changed. Something had made him just the slightest bit curious, and so he had come closer to them. This was, of course, the pack that wished peace with the tribe of the area. For truth, Acke didn't really care for peace, or for the tribes. He could easily evade the tribesmen, without them even knowing he was near.
At the noises, of the pup, the dark grey wolf looked up. The pup seemed to be enjoying itself. Unsure now, Acke slowly dipped his head to drink the water. It was not the freshest water he had ever tasted, but it would do. Why had he come so near the pack? It could be dangerous if they found him. But, at the same time, he wanted them to find him. Perhaps, just perhaps, he wanted to join them. It had never really struck him before to join a pack, and he wasn't quite sure why he had suddenly decided to come closer.
Feeling impulsive, he stepped out onto the bank of the river, in plain sight. He watched the two adult wolves, his light green eyes scanning them. Head down, Acke challenged them silently to come over to his side, to ask him what he was doing.

Raven lowered his tail a bit when he saw Ashoka looks away from him. The black wolf wanted to make acquaintances within his new pack, but what did he know about doing that? Before he turned a yearling he knew of all the signs of communication, of charming others with his words. But now. . . NOW it was so much different. He looked away sadly and focused back on the pup. Wait. . . Where was she? "E-Eden?" Raven said allowed, glancing his head from side to side trying to find the energetic pup. Soon he spotted her running along the bank and immediately his hackles rose. "Eden!" He said louder, starting to run after her frantically.
There was no danger around from as he could tell but what if fell in?! Or a loner snuck from out behind a bush!? Or worse. . some tribesmen wanting death. . .This world was full of danger! If Naomi found out Eden got into danger under him. . . He would be cast out. . . a loner again! He would never have another chance to fit into another pack.
It didn't take long for the male to catch up to Eden, and as soon as he did Raven scooped her up in his jaws. He didn't mean to be a party pooper, but he was terrified of thinking of horrible outcomes that could happen. . .
Raven looked around, and soon spotted another male. Frightened Raven back away and turned tail, thinking the wolf was a savage rouge. He would dare let him get a paw on Eden!

When Ashoka finally saw that Eden had runned off, she felt ashamed. Her job was to watch over the pup and make sure she didn't get hurt, but the fae let her own insecurities get the best of her. Spotting the other male wolf who was not within the pack as far as she knew, Ashoka raised from the ground and ran to put herself in-between the stranger and Raven, who had Eden in his mouth. Ashoka was terrified, and would normally run away, but she wanted not only to protect Eden, but Raven as well. She felt entitled to keep all the pack members from harm, and if that ment putting herself in front of the danger, she'd do it. Ashoka was not one for violence, but she'd fight if necssary, so she stood her ground and looked at the male from across the river, hoping Raven would take Eden away from here. Despite that the fae was in-between Eden and the stranger, she felt so helpless and scared. And even though her tail was straight and erect, her ears were pressed flat against her head. Ashoka knew that if she even tried to growl it would come out as a whimper, so she stayed quiet and didn't show her teeth. Her sapphire blue orbs looked straight into the male's light green ones, waiting for him to make the first move.

Acke's ears lifted as the dark-colored male ran after the little pup. He scooped her up and caught sight of him. Acke watched the male carry the pup away. Away from him, most likely. And then, the strangest thing happened, in Acke's point of view. The other adult wolf, a female, who was smaller than Acke himself, stood between him and the male carrying the pup, her tail raised in defiance. Acke had never seen two wolves so rattled, and yet determined to keep him away. Then again, he hadn't seen very many wolves outside of his own little world. Tilting his head slightly at the female, he pondered whether he should wade over to them. And then, he took a step forward. He made sure that he was acting in submission, if only slightly. His tail was lowered, as was his head, and his ears were drawn back.

Unsure of what to do next, he swallowed. "Um, hallå, er, hello. M-may I come over?" he said meekly. Asking permission was the better thing to do, instead of just blundering over. They already seemed frightened of him.

Ashoka's ears shot up at the stranger's voice. The fae's tail dropped and she nodded her head in acceptance for the male to come over. She didn't know if the male was tricking her or if she was making the right decision, but it would be unfair to not give him a chance. Ashoka took a few steps back and gave the male some space and tucked in her tail, keeping her ears back. It's not a personal vendetta against him, but the fae was even afraid of her own pack mates, so a complete stranger was just terrifying to her.

Acke let out a breath of relief. He wasn't quite sure why he did. There was still danger. These were not the only wolves of this pack. Of that he was certain. Even so, the tip of his tail swayed a few times, before he started across. The dark grey brute picked his way across carefully, annoyed at the fact that he would be all wet. The water wasn't so deep. He made it across fairly quickly. As Axel climbed onto the bank, he shook himself of all the loose water. He tried to make sure that none got on the fae, for that would have been rude. He may not have been entirely sucessful, but at least she wasn't soaked.

Lifting his eyes to meet the female's, Acke's tail began to sway again, to show that he meant no harm. "I-I am Acke," he said softly. He then realized that his accent was different from these wolves. But then, he had spent a lot of time with his mother... "Is this the land of the Delta Clan?" he asked, using the title of the pack. He liked the sound of it.

Ashoka giggled at the male's accent. She loved accents. They made her pay more attention to the speach, making it more interesting. The fae realized her silliness again, and blushed, looking away. Now that she knew the male wasn't a threat, there was no need to keep eye contact. "Hello, Acke. I am Ashoka, and the male over there is Raven. The pup is Eden. This is the Delta Clan." She couldn't think of anything else to say so she just kept looking away, unsure of herself.

Raven's eyes stared at the newcomer, backing away all the while. However he did not completely back up. He was still close enough to listen to the male as well as Ashoka. It did amaze him how the female rose up stand in front of him. It has been long since such trust and companionship has been shown to him, and he did not even know Ashoka that well at all. He had almost forgotton how great Clan life could be such as this. Raven held a submissive posture as the male spoke, but his ears were up, straining to hear the males voice. The dark grey wolf spoke his name of being Acke, in a strange accent Raven had not yet heard. He seemed to be a loner looking for a pack, and it wasn't long before Raven crept his way next to Ashoka, still holding Eden tightly in his jaws, cautious, but more trustful than before. As Ashoka introduced him, Raven dipped his awkwardly, not really able to say anything due to the pup in his mouth.

Acke payed close attention to the female. Ashoka, as he now knew her. He felt enlightened by her attitude. She had giggled after he spoke. His accent was strange, or so he supposed. He then nodded to Raven, the male that held the pup called Eden in his jaws. The dark grey male was slightly intimidated by the two adult wolves. He still had mixed feelings about wanting to live in a pack. "I...suppose I would like to join your...pack," he said, after a bit of hesitation. He almost chuckled. His accent was much different than these wolves, as their own accents were different than his, or more like, the accent from the land of ice and snow, from where his mother's heritage had come.

Ashoka looked to Acke again. She was happy that he wanted to join the pack. That meant that he posed no danger at all. The light red fae wagged her tail a few times, but she kept her ears down, making her posture half friendly and half submitive. Ashoka was still scared of Raven himself, so she changed her angling a bit so that both males were in her line of vision. She felt even weaker with two males so close. "You will have to speak with the Queen, Naomi Lynn, if you wish to join." Ashoka realized she was making eye contact again and looked away quickly, thinking of how foolish she was.

Raven put Eden down in front of him. The male was not a threat, for now. Still cautious of course, Raven made sure Eden stayed between his tall legs, just in case.
He looked at Acke and studied him. He was a muscular wolf, but then again pretty slim as well. He would make a great Trooper, with the strength he must have. raven felt envious of him, he had always wanted to have that sort of build, to protect other. . . maybe then he may have been able to-. . .
He shook his head, not wanting to think about it. Instead he focused on the present. Suddenly he remembered the howl shortly before, about the prey Yukan and the white she-wolf hunted down. They needed help bringing t back. . . unless the clan would all have to travel there to eat. That of course would be dangerous, with the tribes roaming around. . .
"H-Hey." Raven suddenly spoke. "How about we go help the others carry back that carcass? With Acke's help, it should be easy. Plus. . . I am sure it would prove his loyalty, and Naomi would be glad to accept him. . ."

Acke listened to their words. Timid as he was, he felt safer when he was near them. As Ashoka spoke of the Queen, the dark grey wolf sighed silently. More wolves to meet. He wasn't very scared of these pack wolves at the moment. They seemed more afraid of him. When Raven spoke of a hunt, Acke felt his anxiety growing. There were so many wolves in the pack. How would he ever know them all? "I suppose I can be of assistance. Lead, kind wolves, and I will follow you," he said.

Raven felt weird leading in front. He had just passed Acke and was now walking beside Ashoka while Acke stayed behind the two. It didn't feel right for Raven. He had always been in the back, not long ago being lead himself by others. Eden was once again in his jaws, taking her to the Plains. He himself didn't know if that was a good idea. . . as the plains can be quite dangerous. With big hooved beasts and hunting tribesmen, it didn't feel safe being out in the open. However he guessed it could be good experience for the young pup.

Stefano, who had been trotting along for quite a while now, slowed to stop near a river in front of him. He looked over to the other side of the river, then began to slowly pad up to the shining water. The brown-pelted wolf lowered his muzzle, and dipped it into the cool water, and started to lap some of it up. Once he was done, he lifted his snout back out of the water. He inhaled the fresh air deeply, smelling all the scents around him. But one of the scents made his heart seem to stop for a moment. Wolf...how could I have not noticed that before? he thought. Stef padded away from the river, his nose to the ground. There was a certain urge inside of him that made him want to follow the wolves' scent, and find them. There is definitely more than one wolf... he realized. Once he had gotten a hold of their scent trail, he began to follow it away from the river.

Roscoe was padding around aimlessly, unsure of which direction he came from or where he was going. The large slightly fatigue masculine soon saw something in the distance, and his ears rung with the sound of slow flowing water. The he-wolf flicked his tail slightly and began to head to the water at a moderate pace. His broad paws ached a tad, and his head rung with an unwelcomed pound. It's been a very long time since he happened to take a rest, he couldn't remember the last time he had slept or even napped. With his sore paws, he pushed forward.
As Roscoe reached the river he did not drink the water, he simply watched the clear reflection it perfectly mimicked. Ross glanced to the reflection of himself for a moment, he could see every detail, down to the honey and grey-blue flecks scattered throughout his emerald orbs. Ross slowly submerged his for paws into the cool flwing liquid, crouching down near it. His salmon colored tongue quickly lapped up the refreshment, he could feel it as it filled his empty stomache. As the large masculine rose back up, his nose twitched slighty. His nares soon fumed with numerous wolf scents, he could tell the origin was near to him. 'Wolves huh... It's been awhile since I've been near one.' As he thought of the last time he was near one, he looked into the water once more. Seeing himself, and the large white patch encasing his chest. Much of it was scared, growing white fur instead of his average obsidian. He decided he might as well let the pack know of his presence in the land, with the thought he took a deep breath. Ross motioned his fore left paw ahead and shifted his hind right paw back slighty, the masculine threw his head up into the sky. A rumble grew in his chest and soon escaped into the land, his thunderous yet soothing tune flowed flawlessly and echoed far.

The midnight colored fae padded quietly from the woods to the river bank. She scanned the area and leaned down, drinking the cool clear water quickly. It hadn't been that long of a journey, but at full speed, she had tired. After her drink, Naomi raised her head flicked her ears in every direction trying to listen for any sounds. Not hearing anything she scented the air, but figured he must of been down wind. She took a slight breath and let out a soft call to the loner, welcoming and kind.
